3) Jake described the way to live the life of the Kingdom is to let the King live through you. What does that mean? How do you let the King live through you?
4) Jake mentioned that living for the Kingdom means we’re in a battle. Why is that important to remember? How are we to respond when feel like we’re losing the battle?

Reflection Guide

As you begin this time of reflection, ask God’s Spirit to help you understand His Word. Use 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 as a way to ask the Spirit to help you discern spiritual things.

Jake said eternal life isn’t about a thing, but it’s about a person. Reflect on this truth based on John 11:25-26, John 17:3, and 1 John 5:11.

Jake brought up 2 Peter 1:3. After you’ve taken the time to read the verse, ask God to help you realize what is true about the person in Jesus’ Kingdom by reflecting on the verses below:
2 Corinthians 5:17
John 15:5
Philippians 3:20
Romans 5:1

Choose one of the following to close your reflection time:

1. If these truths make you more excited about King Jesus, write out a prayer thanking Him for all He has done for you.

2. If these truths don’t get you excited, write out a prayer asking God’s Spirit to help you see Jesus as He is talked about in the Bible.

3. If you don’t think you’re in the Kingdom, but want to be, write out a prayer asking for Jesus to make you a new creation in His Kingdom. If you don’t want to do that, write down some reasons for why you might not want to, and talk to one of your Cru leaders about those reasons later.
