Past Spring break Trips

SPRING BREAK 2024: PANAMA, Central America

Alongside of Filter of Hope, we served with local churches outside of Panama City to bring clean water and the gospel to those in desperate need of both.

2023 Mayfield, KY, disaster relief

In December of 2021, numerous towns in Western Kentucky suffered severe tornado damage. One of these was Mayfield. The tornado tore right through the center of town completely destroying businesses, homes, municipal buildings, and churches.

With groups from other colleges, we served with an international relief organization, Samaritan's Purse, to rebuild homes in the city of Mayfield. On the way home, we visited the Ark Encounter. Along the way, we built lasting friendships!

This spring we joined hundreds of students from other Cru campuses for a Spring Break conference in Panama City Beach, FL. In the mornings we had training on how to have spiritual conversations and then spent the afternoons putting what we learned into practice. After having dinners together, we ended each day with an inspiring time of worship and Bible teaching. Of course, we also hit up the arcade, Dippin’ Dots store, and an ocean-side restaurant. 2019 INNER CITY ORLANDO

In 2019 we traveled to Orlando, FL to partner with Cru’s Inner City Ministry. Through their organization and in partnership with various churches, we learned about God’s heart for the poor and marginalized. Most days were spent serving the city by helping city organizations clean storage sheds, serve underprivileged kids, build community gardens, and more. Of course, we also had free time for backyard cookouts, swimming, and a visit to Cru’s International Headquarters.

2018 pANAMA ciTY bEACH

We took a 2-day road-trip, stayed in a beachside resort, and gained training that allowed us to initiate spiritual conversations with other spring-breakers. The sun-filled days were relaxing, faith-stretching, and super fun. Hear from past SU students as they experienced this unique trip for the first time.
